How to Use Bath Salt in Hot Tubs

Bath salts are replete in the market. These can improve the mood whenever you are using your hot tub. However, not all of them are okay to use for your tub. Some produce a lot of suds that may confuse the functions of the air jets.

Before purchasing just about any bath salt in the market, you should first know which ones are okay to use.

Bath & Body

Tip 1: Before going to the store to buy the salts, know what type of jet system your tub uses. The most common type of jet system is the water jet that pushes water outwards to massage your body. Some uses air jets. If you have purchased your tub with absolutely no idea about the jet mechanisms, you can call customer service or consult the manual.

Tip 2: If you are using a tub that uses air jets, any type of standard salt is fine. These usually produce bubbles and foams which will provide a more relaxing ambience. Just pick the one you like the most. Experiment with scents too for a very relaxing bathing experience.

Tip 3: Do not use the salts that produce bubbles if you have water jets. This clogs the water pump which will result to clogged jets. You can pick the non-foaming salts which are also replete in the market.

Tip 4: You can make your very own salt provided that you are using a tub integrated with air jets. Those salts sold in the market can be a bit expensive. For those who want to detoxify their system, adding Epsom salts to you bath and actually help remove toxins from the skin. Your skin will feel soft and smooth afterwards.

Tip 5: There are also some salts that heat up the water so you will not need to use too much electricity to heat up your bath. But make sure that it is compatible with the jet system of your tub. This is a good way to cut back on electricity consumption as any appliance with a heating device gobbles up a lot on electricity.

You can always experiment so you can find the one that will work best for your needs. Scour the market for some good bath salts you can use or research online on how to make your own. There is no limit as to how much comfort you would like to give to your body. You deserve pampering after working so hard.
