Bath Shower Faucet Styles

Faucets for the bath and shower are manufactured in many styles and finishes. Some take on an antique era, and others take a more modern approach in looks and functions. Whatever your taste most homes have a combination faucet like this.

A chrome finished faucet, spout and shower head has been the most popular finish on the combination faucet. It is easy to clean and stays bright for years of dependable service. These faucet assemblies also come in brass, antique brass, copper, stainless steel, nickel, brushed nickel, and many other finishes. They can come in combinations of these finishes as well. If you have money to throw around you can also get them with precious metal accents.

Faucets like this come in as many styles as they do finishes. They can be designed in a single post or three post designs. The water can be controlled by two valves or by a single valve having many functions. They can have two knobs to control the temperature or flow of the water. This also can be done with a single lever or knob that pivots in many directions. The water can be controlled in many different ways as well. Some have a cartridge in them that can be replaced when wore out. This insert is held in by a pin or locking nut. Other ways to control the flow of water in these faucets are by ball sockets and discs. All three functions are quite adequate at dispersing water but some of them last longer then their counter parts.

To gain water pressure to the shower head the water has to be stopped from going out the spout. This process is generally done by hand using a push or pull stopper in the spout. This plug puts all the water pressure through the pipe or hose to the shower head. The shower head can come in a wall mounted form or a hand held form. The wall mounted form is hard framed inside the wall while the hand held model has a hose that runs from the spout.

The spout on the bath shower faucet can take on many shapes and features. They can be a normal wall mount spout or they can be a deck mounted spout. They can be L designed or take on a goose neck look. The water can come out in one spot or come out like a waterfall. There are many choices to consider when purchasing a faucet like this.
